The Haus, Cancellation Policy Terms and Conditions:
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Reservations are fully refundable if cancelled by 6PM EST from the time of booking or in writing more than 30 days from the arrival date. Reservations cancelled within 30 days of the arrival date are non-refundable, regardless of the reason. Please see below for Deposit and Payment Policies.
Deposits: A 50% deposit is required for reservations made beyond 30 days. All balances due, collected within 30 days of arrival. Reservations made through a 3rd Party sites are charged in full upon booking.
FOR IRONMAN, all balances are due in full, and are non-refundable After APRIL 1st. Refunds are issued quickly but may take up to 10 business days after the date of departure.
Group bookings and stays over 14 days require a full deposit and are non-refundable within 45 days of arrival. For all other bookings, you authorize the Haus to collect the Vacation Rental balance due on the credit card provided within 30 days of arrival.
DAMAGES & SECURITY DEPOSITS:
Guests are responsible for damages beyond normal wear and tear. A $300 Damages Security Deposit ($500 for suite #10), is required by check-in for parties wishing to keep oversized sports gear in-room or those staying 5 or more nights. Personal checks may be mailed up to 7 business days in advance. Your apartment will be checked twice before it is rented again, after which your deposit will be refunded via check or credited to the card provided within 10 days. Smoking is not permitted in the building; a $250 intensive cleaning fee will be added to your bill should your apt. bare a trace of smoking.
OCCUPANCY:
The following policies are designed to benefit rather than limit everyone’s enjoyment while at the Haus. Each booking assumes a 2-4 person occupancy, based on room type. The Haus does not provide any type of additional bedding such as air mattresses or cots. Additional guests are not permitted to sleep on sofas that are not sleeper sofas for sanitary and safety reasons. We also do not allow guests to sleep or have guests sleep on our balconies.
ALL GUESTS whether overnight or day, cannot exceed the capacity of the suite rented, (i.e. +2 than the # of people reserved, (+6 for suite #10). You agree that you will not use your suite as a wash facility, staging place, or party venue for those not booked at the Haus without written consent of the Haus (and subject to additional fees). Haus guests exceeding capacity will be asked to leave immediately without refund.
PARKING:
We are happy to provide a permit for 1 (one) vehicle/vacation rental at $12/day in a municipal lot close. As other people could park illegally we are unable to guarantee these spaces, but they are well posted so these vehicles can be towed. We assume no responsibility for parking violations so please obey all posted signage. There is a $200 charge to replace permits not returned at check-out.
PETS:
As much as we love or dogs we no longer accept pets. Should you arrive with a pet you agree to leave immediately, forfeit the deposit, and balance of your reservation. Should your room be found to have had a pet in it for any amount of time, you agree to pay a $250 intensive cleaning fee. Service animals covered under the ADA are allowed which at this time does not include emotional support animals. $300 deposit required.
SPORTS GEAR:
Due to our size we have no common storage area. Guests with travel bags may keep skis or snow boards in your room otherwise please keep oversized gear in your vehicle. Bicycles are not permitted in our apartments upstairs without a $300 security deposit, ($500 for suite #10). Please bring a cable lock to secure equipment to your vehicle or beside our building, kayaks may be locked to our lake level columns. Towels used to clean equipment may be charged to your account; we can provide you with cleaning rags for free.
