F.A.Q.

Is there an extra charge for extra guests?

Yes, there is an extra charge of $15 per person/night so make sure you make a reservation for the correct amount of people.

Do you have an elevator?

No we do not, we are not handicap accessible but you only have to walk up two floors.

How early can I check-in?

We promise your suite will be ready by 3PM. Arrivals before 2PM are subject to a $50 fee. Arrivals prior to 1PM are subject to a $100 fee. AM arrivals are billed an extra day. We are happy to get you into your suite as soon as possible. This depends mostly on when the previous guest departed. Please call us at noon to see if we can accommodate you ahead of schedule. If you would like to make certain that you can check-in early please book the night before.

Do you allow pets?

Sorry, we do not allow pets at The Haus regardless of size or temperament. Guests found to have a pet during their stay may be asked to leave the property with out refund and will be charged a $250 intensive cleaning fee immediately. For those that wish to travel with their pets, we recommend boarding your pet at night so you can enjoy your outdoor adventures during the day. Where can I park?

1 parking permit will be given to each room. Much like a city, we do not have onsite parking but it is close by. There are several options available to you, the easiest being the UPPER municipal parking lot about 500 ft from our building. Reception will explain more upon check-in.

Do I need to bring cookware?

Nope, all you need are food and spices. We provide a nicely stocked kitchen with pots and pans, plates and glassware for you to cook and serve. These are rental units so if you plan on preparing something elaborate then you may want to bring any special cookware you require.

We have drip coffee makers with filters.
Dishwashers come with detergent.
Ice in the freezer.

Our village has two mid-range super markets.

Do I need to bring sheets?

No.

We have lovely, 100% cotton bedding already made up for you to slip into.

Where do I check-in?

Our vacation rental desk is located in our gift shop, Ecotique, next to the Pizzeria along the park side of our building.

What time is check-in?

Our rental desk is open from 3-6PM. Please let us know your ETA. If you are arriving around 6PM we would be happy to stay on a few minutes more to assist you. If you arrive after hours then for your safety and security we request that you call us first thing the next day to arrange a time convenient to you to check-in the next day. We guarantee our suites to be clean and ready for you by 3PM.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes and it is FREE!

Do you have DVD players?

Sadly no. There are jacks on the TVs to plug into though.

How big are the suites?

Our suites are roughly 800 sq. ft. each. The average hotel room is only 350sq feet. What a deal!

Do you have a restaurant or room service?

We don’t but we are so close to dozens of Main Street dining options. You could walk the same distance in a resort to reach our friends’ establishments.

Do you have rooms with kitchenettes?

No, better, we have rooms with FULL SIZE KITCHENS. They are stocked for rental use meaning that you can cook typical meals. You need only bring your food and spices unless you are preparing something special.

Can I request a late check-out?

Sorry probably not. We are simply too small to clean a room the afternoon before an arrival. Sometimes if your suite isn’t booked we would be happy to have you stay on a bit longer. Please call us at 518.523.3005 to see what charges apply. Late departures may be subject to a $50/half hour fee.

Please don’t forget to leave behind your parking permit and keys to avoid any replacement costs. We don’t want to charge you, we just want the next guest to be as accommodated as you were.

Do you offer group discounts?

Nope, sorry. We are a small and quiet lodge unable to accommodate large groups unless you book the whole building. Small groups are welcome but please be considerate of other guests.
